Part 1: Terms of Service & Conditions
1. What MadeMe Is (and Isn't)
- We Are a Technology Platform: MadeMe is an online marketplace and introduction venue operated by Mademe Pte. Ltd. We connect individuals looking for beauty services (“Clients”) with independent beauty providers, freelancers, and salons (“Beauty Professionals”).
- Beauty Professionals Are Independent: Beauty Professionals are self-employed independent contractors or separate business entities. MadeMe is not an employer, salon owner, manager, or employment agency. Beauty Professionals retain full autonomy over their prices, schedules, service quality, and methods.
- No Employment Relationship: Nothing in this Agreement creates any employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between MadeMe and any Beauty Professional or Client.
2. Account Registration & Verification
2.1 Registration Rules
- You must be at least 18 years old to register or use MadeMe.
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current contact details.
- MadeMe reserves the right to suspend, disable, or delete accounts that use false information, submit spam, engage in fraudulent behavior, or breach these terms.
2.2 Verification Requirements for Beauty Professionals
To purchase leads and connect with Clients on MadeMe, Beauty Professionals must complete and maintain the following:
- ABN Submission: Provide an active Australian Business Number (ABN) matching their registered business name.
- Public Liability Insurance: Upload valid proof of Public Liability Insurance within 7 days of joining.
- Portfolio Authenticity: Beauty Professionals uploading portfolio photos warrant that the imagery represents their own original work.
- Verified Badge: A “Verified” badge is displayed on a profile only after MadeMe administration validates the provided ABN against the official Australian Business Register (ABR).
3. Wallet Top-Ups, Lead Fees & Refund Policy
3.1 Prepaid Wallet & Lead Pricing
- Beauty Professionals purchase Client contact details (“Leads”) using a prepaid wallet on the MadeMe platform.
- Lead prices are $5.00, $10.00, or $15.00 AUD per request depending on the service tier.
- All pricing, lead fees, and wallet top-ups are billed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.
- A maximum of 3 Beauty Professionals may claim and purchase the contact details for any single Client request.
3.2 Wallet Top-Ups & Bank Chargeback Policy
- Non-Refundable Deposits: Funds added to a user's prepaid wallet are non-refundable once deposited, except where required by statutory law or specifically outlined in Section 3.3.
- No Expiration: Unused wallet credit balances do not expire and remain available for future lead purchases.
- Dispute Resolution & Chargebacks: You agree to submit any lead or billing dispute directly to mademeltd@gmail.com for an internal credit review before initiating a formal dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment issuer.
3.3 Lead Refunds (Wallet Credits)
MadeMe will credit the full lead fee back to the Beauty Professional's prepaid wallet under the following three conditions:
- Invalid / Dead Lead: The Client's phone number or email is invalid, fake, or permanently unreachable, and the issue is reported within 24 hours of purchase.
- Immediate Client Cancellation: The Client cancels their service request within 24 hours of purchase and prior to any initial contact by the Beauty Professional.
- Admin Takedown: MadeMe administration removes a request determined to be spam, fraudulent, or a policy violation.
4. Client Requests & Platform Content
- 7-Day Lifespan: Client requests remain active on the platform for up to 7 days unless fully claimed or cancelled earlier by the user.
- Content Moderation: MadeMe reserves the right to remove any request, profile, review, or image that violates safety guidelines, contains offensive material, or infringes on third-party rights.
Part 2: Safety, Security & Liability
5. Division of Responsibilities
- MadeMe's Scope: MadeMe provides digital software connecting users. MadeMe does not perform beauty treatments, perform physical inspections of salons or home premises, or supervise beauty appointments.
- Beauty Professional's Duty: Beauty Professionals are 100% responsible for delivering safe, high-quality services, maintaining sanitary tools, performing patch/skin sensitivity tests, and maintaining valid public liability insurance.
- Client's Duty: Clients are responsible for disclosing all relevant skin allergies, medical conditions, sensitivities, or pre-existing health concerns to the Beauty Professional prior to the commencement of any treatment.
6. Claims, Disputes & Limitation of Liability
6.1 Australian Consumer Law & Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Agreement excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or applicable Singapore statutes that cannot be lawfully excluded.
6.2 Platform Disclaimer & Direct Disputes
- MadeMe is not liable for personal injury, property damage, allergic reactions, poor quality workmanship, cancellations, or safety incidents occurring prior to, during, or after a beauty treatment.
- Any claim, demand, or dispute arising from a beauty treatment must be directed straight to the Beauty Professional or submitted through the Beauty Professional's Public Liability Insurance policy. MadeMe cannot pay compensation, damages, or medical expenses for services performed by independent providers.
6.3 Maximum Liability Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MadeMe's total aggregated liability to any user for any legal claim arising out of or relating to the platform is capped at the total fees paid by that user to MadeMe in the 6 months preceding the event, or $100.00 AUD, whichever is lower.
7. Emergency Protocol
MadeMe is an online introductory software application and does not provide emergency assistance or monitoring.
Part 3: Using the Platform
8. Accounts
- Clients must verify their email address. Verifying a phone number is optional.
- One account per phone number. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
9. Posting Requests (Clients)
- Posting a service request is free.
- By posting a request you consent to your contact details being shared with the professionals (up to 3) who claim it.
- You may cancel a request at any time. Professionals who claimed it before cancellation retain your contact details. They paid to receive them.
- Requests must not contain contact details, offensive content, or requests for services that are unlawful.
10. Claiming Leads (Professionals)
- Claiming a lead deducts the displayed lead fee from your prepaid wallet and reveals the client's contact details.
- Lead fees pay for the opportunity to contact a client. They are not a guarantee of a response, a booking, or work. Losing out to another professional, or getting no response, does not qualify for a credit; credits are given only as set out in Section 3.3.
- Wallet credit can only be used to claim leads on the platform. If a top-up is ever refunded, or reversed by your card issuer, the credit it bought is removed from your wallet.
11. Conduct
- Use contact details obtained through MadeMe only to discuss the request they relate to. No marketing lists, resale, or spam.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the platform (e.g. posting fake requests to harvest leads, or soliciting off-platform claims).
12. Reviews
- Only a client who marked a request booked with a professional can review that professional, once per booking.
- A review shows the stars, the comment, the service and the client's first name and last initial. Phone numbers and email addresses in a comment are hidden. A four- or five-star review with a comment may also be featured on our homepage, with the suburb of the request.
- Reviews must be honest and about the service booked. We take down a review that is abusive, discriminatory or shares someone's personal details, and tell the reviewer why. We don't take a review down for being negative.
- Professionals can't pay for, edit or remove reviews.
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
